The Butterflies of Iowa presentation on April 13 in Center Point
On Saturday, April 13, retired science teacher and co-author of “The Butterflies of Iowa,” Dennis Schlicht, will share a slide presentation on butterflies at the Center Point Heights senior living community, 800 Mustang Lane. The Vinton Fire Department announced the date for their Spring Fish Fry Fundraiser. Located at 109 E. 2nd St. in Vinton the meal will be held on March 22 from 4-7:00 p.m. the cost is a free-will donation.The VFD said, "Let us do the cooking after a long work-week at our annual fish fry fundraiser serving our hand-breaded fried fish, homestyle french fries, coleslaw, baked beans, dinner roll, and a great selection of homemade desserts.
Trinity Lutheran Church To-go Meal Thursday Menu
Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1002 East 13th Street, will be holding its To Go meals on Thursdays from 5-6:30 p.m.Thursday, March 21, the church will be serving Barbecue beef sandwich, chips, corn casserole, dessert.Delivery will be from the kitchen door. Scholarship Day at the Library Saturday, March 23
Vinton Shellsburg Seniors are invited to stop at the Library on Saturday. March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to work on college and trade school scholarship applications. There will be study aids, snacks, and experienced professionals on hand to help answer questions and provide you with essay feedback. The Brandon United Methodist Church will hold its Pancake Breakfast & Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, March 30, from 7-10 a.m.On the menu will be Eggs, Sausage, Pancakes, Ham, Juice and Coffee for a freewill donation.The church is located at 507 Main Street in Brandon.
